If all of the episodes are connected then this one is very likely at the very end of the timeline for the real world and non cookie society.

I think the black and white drives home that its a machine world now.
It s a story of survival and of sheer desperation.
The smithereens ending is fittingly bleak for black mirror but especially resonant in today s culture.
Now it was directed well with a good writing although some plotholes.
The humans are going to get something important from the warehouse.
So i wasn t aware of black mirror s story telling style.
It s a post apocalyptic tale told mostly from one person s perspective.
That being said metalhead is my favourite episode because it s a thriller a familiar genre.
You may be left wondering who got shot at the end of the episode and what happened next.
Once you start trying to guess how things are connected this episode is a bit too easy to figure out for viewers.
The reveal at the end is about the contrast between human emotion and feeling and the unfeeling unreasonable nature of the machine.
